Shiitake- Wide Range
Inoculate fresh cut hardwood, takes 9 to 12 months of colonization before 1st Mushrooms are grown. We do NOT recommend waxing the ends of the logs, but do recommend waxing the plug sites.
Logs will go dormant in the winter and produce typically in the early spring and fall.
Inoculated logs need to be kept in at least 80% shade and watered every 10 -14 days if it has not rained.
